Hot water is a luxury that most of us take for granted and there are many types of hot water systems you can buy in today’s market which are convenient and safe.

There are two main types of hot water systems Instantaneous systems and storage systems.

Instantaneous Systems

With an Instantaneous hot water system, the water is heated as it flows through the heat exchanger, these systems can be gas or electric and may take a minute for the water to heat to the required temperature.

Storage Systems

Storage hot water system can be gas, electric or solar, the water is heated by an element whilst stored inside the tank. Hot water flows only when required, but if the tank size is not compatible with the intended usage of how many people are in the home and your daily water requirement, you can run out of water if excessively used.

The more modern your hot water unit the more energy efficient it will be.
